You ring us
5 minutes on the phoneCall 07807 815181 or send a message via the contact form. We will ask a handful of practical questions — what is the roof on, how big is it roughly, what is wrong with it — to know whether a survey is sensible.
If we are not the right people for the job (some are not single ply jobs), we will tell you straight on the phone and not waste your time with a survey.
- 02
Free survey at your property
30-45 minutes on site, usually within 2-7 working daysChris (the owner) does every survey personally. He will inspect the existing roof, take measurements, check the deck condition where accessible, look at upstands, drainage and detail points, and have a proper conversation with you about what you want.
There is no sales pitch and no commission to chase. If a repair is the right answer rather than a replacement, we will say so. If we genuinely cannot help, we will recommend who can.
- 03
Written quote
Within 2-3 working days of the surveyYou get a written, itemised quote by email — not a verbal estimate scribbled on the back of an envelope. The quote sets out:
- The system we are recommending and why
- The full build-up (deck, insulation, membrane, edge details)
- The price (no VAT surprises)
- The estimated timeline
- What is included and what is not (scaffold, skip, waste removal, etc.)
- The warranty terms
If you want to compare against another quote, we recommend you do. We are confident enough in our work to want you to.
- 04
Booking and scheduling
Usually 2-4 weeks out for domestic, longer for commercialWhen you accept the quote, we book a firm start date. We will tell you upfront if we are running busy and what the realistic window is.
We do not take deposits on standard domestic work. You pay on completion. Larger commercial jobs sometimes have staged payments — those terms go into the quote at the start.
- 05
Site prep and installation
Most domestic jobs: 1-4 days on siteScaffold or ladder access goes up first thing on the start day. We work outside the building, so you do not need to take time off or stay in. Most jobs do not need anyone home.
If we hit anything unexpected — soft decking, hidden damp, an upstand that needs more lead work — we tell you the same day before doing anything that affects the price. No surprises on the final invoice.
Daily routine: arrive between 7:30-8am, tea breaks where the kettle allows, tidy up at the end of each day. We do not leave scaffolding boards or membrane offcuts on your driveway overnight.
- 06
Handover and sign-off
Last hour of the last dayAt the end of the job we walk the roof with you (or send detailed photos if you cannot get up there). We explain what we did, point out any details worth knowing, and confirm everything is as you expected.
Then we tidy the site — scaffold down (or booked for collection), waste removed, any disturbed planting put back, your driveway swept. We invoice the same day or the next.

Warranty registration and aftercare
Paperwork in your inbox within a weekYou receive:
- The manufacturer warranty document — 20 years on the membrane, registered in your name with the manufacturer (Sika, Renolit, IKO, etc. depending on the system)
- Our 20-year workmanship guarantee — in writing, transferable if you sell the property
- System datasheets — for your records and insurer
A year later we send a friendly reminder to check the drains and clear any debris (the only maintenance flat roofs really need). If anything goes wrong in the warranty period — even five, ten, fifteen years from now — you ring the same number you rang at the start.
