Maintenance questions

Why do I need maintenance on a 20-year warranty roof?
Because nearly every manufacturer warranty requires it. If you don't inspect and clear drains at least annually, you can void the warranty when you need it most. Beyond the warranty, small problems (a lifted edge, a blocked outlet) get spotted before they become £5,000 problems.
How often should it be inspected?
Domestic roofs: once a year is enough for most. Commercial roofs: twice a year — ideally Spring (post-winter) and Autumn (pre-winter). Heavily trafficked roofs more often.
Will you maintain a roof you didn't install?
Yes — most of our maintenance contracts are on roofs fitted by other contractors. We assess condition at the first visit and quote accordingly.
Is the maintenance contract a tie-in?
No. We don't do lock-in contracts. You pay per visit. If you want to stop, you stop.
What if you find a major problem at a visit?
We'll flag it in writing, quote separately for the work, and you decide. We won't do major repairs without your sign-off.
